Currently this does a raw alphabetical sort. This should exclude definite articles (or have the option to) such as “The “ so “The Beatles” appears under B rather than T, for example. “A ” is another possibility, but less concrete. In any case there may be a couple of weird exception cases such as “The The”
I definitely think this should be optional as I always use “The” in the artist name and prefer them sorted by “T”. I can understand why some people like to drop “The” and sort by the remainder but my feeling is it’s part of the artists name so should stay.
Can’t this already be done in Minimserver using AlbumArtist.ignore.sort={The} in tag options? The same can be done for artists Artist.ignore.sort={The}
Yes it can, but I doubt the app can honour this as it has its own sorting. I will try it at some point though - I used to have it set up that way until I moved to Serento.
