This is incorrectly split into Travis and Fripp as seperate entities - Travis is then recognised as an unrelated band and Fripp is not recognised at all.
This has been fixed in the upcoming version.
These are still showing as split but Travis is now not detecting the Travis band
Hi @tiefling,
Thanks for checking again. The log you shared shows what happened.
Showing them as two artists is intended: MusicBrainz credits every Travis & Fripp release to two artists, Theo Travis and Robert Fripp. So Serento shows each of them with their own page, and the album appears on both. What this update should have changed is the names: “Travis” and “Fripp” should have become “Theo Travis” and “Robert Fripp”, each with the right bio and photo.
That didn’t happen in your library because Serento couldn’t get those names during the sync. Your log shows Serento was in the background for about 20 minutes while it was matching artists, so some lookups got no answer. When that happens, Serento keeps the names it already had until a later sync gets an answer.
Could you run Sync once more and keep Serento open until it finishes? After that, the album should show Theo Travis and Robert Fripp. If it still shows “Travis” and “Fripp”, please send me the log again.

I’ve run again and am seeing the same on my iPod - they link to 2 separate artists but not the ones you mention.
The artist I have just called “Fripp” thinks it’s like Brian Eno, which sounds right, but “Travis” is like “Keane” and “The Stereophonics” which would be correct for the band called Travis
I’ll send a log
Hi @tiefling,
Thanks for running the sync with the app open and sending the log. It showed that my earlier explanation was wrong for your library: the sync running in the background was not the cause here, so syncing again could not fix it. Sorry for sending you round in circles.
What actually happens: when the name “Travis” also appears on its own somewhere in a library (for example an album or a track by the band Travis, or a credit like “Travis, someone”), Serento treated the “Travis” in “Travis & Fripp” as that same artist. That is why the album led to the band’s page and to the band’s similar artists (Keane, Stereophonics). If you have something credited just “Travis”, that is what triggered it.
The fix: for a credit that names several artists (with &, a comma, /, feat. and the other separators), Serento now looks up that credit’s release in the catalogue. When a name in the credit belongs to a different artist than the one on the release, it uses the release’s artist, for that credit only. So “Travis” in “Travis & Fripp” becomes Theo Travis, while anything credited just “Travis” stays with the band. Fripp already led to the right person and stays as it is. I reproduced your case and confirmed the fix on my side.
It will be in the next update. After updating, run Sync once and the album will lead to Theo Travis.

Superb. Thanks @lorin.bute !
