Hi everyone.

This is a major release because we have finally integrated USB DAC selection in exclusive mode in the macOS app. You can now select a USB DAC in the Audio Output popup or in Audio Output in settings.

Another issue that we solved is related to users who prefer a fixed sample rate for their macOS audio output. For people that require a fixed sample rate, Serento now uses that sample rate to upsample or downsample the music when listening on the “This Mac” output.

  1. USB Dac support on all platforms with emphasis on macOS.
  2. Fixed sample rate for macOS audio output is now used in Serento.
  3. Proper detection of DSD 128+ albums in the album list. Please re-sync.
  4. Added missing DSD512 filter in the filters list.
  5. Proper detection of mp4 files.
  6. Fade in transitions for all the views on macOS.
  7. Fixed loading of artist popular tracks by implementing a local cache. This also fixes the order of popular tracks in the View All list.
  8. Fixed a playback issue.
  9. Removed Unknown Artists as a navigable artist. Tracks or albums that have an unknown artists no longer allow you to navigate to this missing artist.
  10. Fixed artist detection and added a collection of artists to the album for albums that have multiple artists. This allows for proper navigation towards the artist when tapping on it. You no longer get Artist not found. Please re-sync.
  11. Renamed the DSD filters from MHz to DSD 64, 128, 256 and 512.
  12. Unified track buffer for PCM and DSD.
  13. Lumin L2 lies about it’s Search capability so a Browse-Walk is required to scan them. Implemented Browse-Walk in case Search returns zero items.
  14. Improved searching for renderers on the network.
  15. Fixed Album Version Grouping crash on huge libraries.
  16. Added support for detecting mp4 files.
  17. Updated the filters to support mp4 files, to properly display DSD sample rates and to show only top level genres.
  18. Fixed back navigation in the classical music section.
  19. Removed Settings - Feedback since all the feedback is going to be gathered using community.serento.app.
  20. Added Name and Details fields when sending logs. You can now write an explanation for the logs you are sending the developer.
  21. Fixed artist image not loading properly in the Home View Statistics.
  22. Fixed Genres cache on start so it always loads fast.
  23. Many bug fixes.
